Barrett, The Honors College is a residential program for more than 5,400 academically exceptional undergraduates. Named “Best Honors College” in the nation, Barrett offers a dynamic environment, from a small community of student scholars and dedicated Honor Faculty Fellows to cutting-edge research, internships and travel abroad experiences. Barrett actively seeks to bring the world to students through global engagement. Past study abroad experiences include courses taught by Barrett faculty in England, Ireland, Scotland, Costa Rica, Greece, Italy, France, Ecuador, Peru, Spain, China and Eastern Europe.
Offering academically outstanding experiences and mentoring, Barrett and ASU's 1,800 honors faculty pursue significant research programs across the university. Barrett students also benefit from a $12M endowment that supports students and their projects. In addition, taking an active role in support of student endeavors is the Lorraine W. Frank Office of National Scholarship Advisement. Under this group’s direction, undergraduate and graduate students across the university, including honors students, have received more than 425 major national and international awards, including Fulbright, Rhodes, Marshall, Gilman, Boren and other institutional awards taking students abroad for scholarship and research.
