Research universities in the U.S. and around the world are a primary source of new knowledge and innovation that drives the global economy. Arizona State University is a comprehensive academic knowledge enterprise committed to discovery, creativity and innovation.
ASU is helping universities worldwide to rethink how higher education functions to educate the greatest number of students to the highest global standards at sustainable cost.
The Critical Languages Institute is a summer language endeavor supported by ASU’s Melikian Center: Russian, Eurasian and East European Studies and one of the largest summer training facilities in the U.S. specializing in less commonly taught languages.
The institute offers 14 languages and study abroad, hybrid and domestic programs from Arizona to Armenia, Turkey to Uzbekistan, Russia to Kyrgyzstan and more. In addition, several of overseas programs offer internship or volunteer experiences to build on programs' intensive language studies, cultural activities and skills training.
In institute also supports four language programs at ASU for Project Go, a nationwide program training ROTC students from ASU and other universities for summer study in Arizona and abroad.
