Global Drylands Center

Established in summer 2017, ASU’s Global Drylands Center engages key actors of dryland stewardship to develop use-inspired research, training and solutions for arid ecosystems around the world. Uniquely situated in the middle of the vast drylands of North America and led by Osvaldo Sala, the Julie Ann Wrigley Chair in Life Sciences and Sustainability, the center is poised to beome the world leader in drylands discovery and education to ensure a sustainable future for drylands.
