Programs & Initiatives

Through programs that take students around the globe and initiatives that bring international students to Arizona State University, we are preparing a cadre of young leaders empowered to participate fully in the civic, economic and cultural life of their community.

ASU is one of only two universities chosen to host the MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program and the State Department’s Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) - both significant efforts to empower rising African leaders. The university also offers strong language and cultural experiences through the Critical Languages Institute, Chinese Language Flagship and ROTC Programs, Peace Corps, School of International Letters and Cultures,  and Study Abroad.

Our initiatives, combined with innovative leadership programs and international travel experiences, provide students and educators at home and abroad the opportunity to inspire, catalyze and sustain student-driven social change.
