The W. P. Carey School of Business has students from 100 different countries and a strong focus on creating positive change on a global scale. In fact, the school’s mission statement specifically addresses that goal, and its efforts in this area are reflected in a number of initiatives.
In addition to hosting one of the top MBA and online MBA programs in the U.S., the school’s executive MBA program based in Arizona has also been lauded for its international work. The EMBA students travel to other countries to learn more about business climates outside the United States and to help solve real-world problems for some of the firms they visit. In China, the W. P. Carey School educates some of the top government and business leaders through its executive MBA program in Shanghai, China, and is ranked in the top 30 in the world.
In addition to EMBA programs, the school’s globally-oriented degrees include a Master of Science in Global Logistics and Bachelor of Arts in Business with choice of concentrations, including global agribusiness, leadership, logistics management, politics, Spanish or Chinese language and culture. The school also has extensive partnerships with institutions overseas through the accelerated degree partnerships.
Recently, the school also opened a new Global Educational Center to help students coming from overseas to learn more about American culture and to help domestic students, faculty and staff to learn more about other languages and international customs.
